RMI Campus RMI's Own Buildings Demonstrate Efficiency
For many supporters and visitors, Rocky Mountain Institute is synonymous with its headquarters building in Old Snowmass, Colorado. Completed in 1984 and upgraded continually since then, the facility remains a state-of-the-art showcase of efficiency ideas.
Most of RMI's employees work at a larger office building located about a mile away on the Windstar Land Conservancy, a 957-acre parcel of open space whose permanent protection the Institute secured in 1996. RMI has gradually upgraded the Windstar building, although the former ranch house's environmental performance is inherently limited. Other facilities include two staff housing buildings adjacent to the headquarters and a third located less than a mile away. For first-hand information about RMI, you and your group may tour RMI's headquarters building. For details, use the link to RMI's headquarters building, below.
RMI does not arrange special visits with our researchers, but we hope you will use the information available on our website to learn more about our work and explore the many resources mentioned here. Our outreach department does its best to answer questions not explained on the website, but we are unable to offer detailed, individualized advice to everyone who writes to us.
To receive such advice, it might be best to explore a more formal relationship through our consulting services. You may wish to do some initial research on your own and then hire RMI to help you through a particular project. For information on RMI's Research & Consulting services please contact our R&C staff at ResearchAndConsulting@rmi.org.
